We are seeking a self-motivated, tech-savvy, and team-oriented individual who would enjoy working in a customer-service and community-centered environment. This new team member will support and staff the Coles County Social Service Navigator program.
The Coles County Social Service Navigators mission is to support community members in their effort to find, understand, and obtain assistance. In support of their mission, this position will work directly with community members and will provide referral-based assistance and basic assistance for a variety of needs, which include but are not limited to transportation, basic needs, SNAP application assistance, and free phones/internet applications. The Coles County Social Service Navigator program is not a part of SNAP.
This temporary, part-time position (12-15 hrs/wk) requires previous technology and customer-service experience. This position is grant funded and will report to the Library Director. Previous social or human services experience a plus. Having or working towards a degree in Public Health or Human Services a plus. Salary starts at $15.00/hour.
