Deep breathing techniques and stretches will help improve flexibility, strength, balance, and body awareness while also promoting relaxation and
stress reduction. This program is designed for people of all abilities, including seniors with mobility issues or individuals recovering from injuries.

Friends (the owner of Warbler Ridge). Warbler Ridge contains forest ridges and ravines, wetlands, prairie areas and riparian zones. This
variety of habitats allows for a rich diversity of plants. The program will focus on 40 plus unique plants that make Warbler Ridge their home.

Patrons can build bookmarks by putting pressed dried flowers, or other crafty embellishments too, in laminating sheets. They can cut out whatever shape or size they want and add any additional embellishments. All craft supplies will be provided. Feel free to bring your own pressed flowers or pictures to add to your bookmark.

Join us for a tour of The Whiteside Garden, guided by Horticulturist Kennedi Mullen. The Whiteside Garden is a 5 acre Botanical Garden and Certified Arboretum owned and managed by The Douglas-Hart Foundation. This garden is a charming and serene public garden that showcases a variety of plant species and beautifully landscaped areas.
Dress for the weather and walking/hiking shoes are recommended.

Off to the Puzzle Races! Bring a team of up to four teammates for the thrilling low-speed, low-stakes competition of jigsaw puzzle racing. Each registered team receives the same puzzle (300-piece in June and 500-piece in July) and will have up to 90 minutes to complete as much of the puzzle as possible. A prize will be awarded to the team that completes the puzzle first OR that has the most pieces in the puzzle at the end of the time.

Nancy Coutant, a member of the Prairie's Edge Master Naturalist group, will start with a brief introduction to the diverse habitats in the Sonoran desert and plant adaptations for survival in the desert. The majority of
the program will discuss 40 plus plants that live in the Sonoran desert. The presentation will conclude with a short discussion of places to visit in the Sonoran desert to see a wide variety of desert plants.
